TOV Essentials blogger event

You may all know TOV Essentials by its beautiful jewelry, but also maybe by its leather goods. This fall they’ve enlarged their leather goods collection with the most luxury items.

To start this fall fashionable, of course starring the new bags, TOV Essentials and NOW PR invited several bloggers to customize their own TOV Essentials bag.
Eleven bloggers, like Annic van Wonderen, Chantal Bles and Marvy Rieder, were invited at the TOV Essentials showroom. The founders of the accessoiry brand were there to give a short presentation about the history of the brand and the exclusive materials they use for their products. After a small bite, a glass of bubbles and a sneak peak of the SS13 collection, the time was finally there to strip the bags and transform them into something unique. There were even two seamstresses present to help everyone out and make the bag look extra professional.

After an hour of concentration and fun, the most beautiful bags were presented by the bloggers. Too bad they had to leave, but they didn’t went home without of course their one-of-a-kind bag and a beautiful polaroid made of them, Sahrissa and their personal creations.

BENETTON OPENS POP-UP STORE IN SoHo, NY

United Colors of Benetton announces the launch of a pop-up, store/gallery concept in the heart of New York City’s SoHo neighborhood.  The space fuses art and commerce through the creative lens of the brand’s colorful, fashion knitwear.  The brand transformed a 2,200 square-foot former garage space attached to a BP gas station with an innovative art/design installation, including highlights from the Fall-Winter 2012 collection.

The space, located at 135 Crosby Street, opened on September 6 , 2012 and will run through December. The location showcases the collaboration between You Nguyen, Chief Merchandising Officer and Creative Director, who designed the women’s and men’s Fall 2012 collections, and Sam Baron, Design Director of FABRICA, the Benetton Group’s center for communication research where artists from around the world develop innovative art and media projects.

Celebrate Fashion

New York, London, Paris, Milan and all those other fashionable cities are hosting the biggest fashion event of the year and the 13th of September Amsterdam will do the same. Vogue Fashion’s Night Out is finally making its debut to our own fashion capital.
VFNO is an event for everyone, participating stores are open late and everywhere you can enjoy extra special events. The best Dutch designers, models, fashion editors and photographers are attending this evening and you can enjoy specially decorated shop windows, exclusive and limited edition products, cocktails and music. Fashion's Night Out is a collaboration between Vogue and high-end retailers and promises to be the fashion event of the year.

A few brands we are representing are participating too:

At the Claudia Sträter store at the P.C. Hooftstraat you can listen to the story behind the new winter collection while enjoying a glass of champagne. To make your visit more glamorous it's possible to let yourself get photographed on the cover of VOGUE by Otto van der Toorn and Roland Reinders. DJ Ishtar will make your visit a lot more cozy and if you can't make a decision about what to buy and how to wear it, is there a whole styling team available to give you advice! Claudia Sträter will certainly fill your hands, because when you make a purchase there's a goodiebag ready for you to come with.
At De Bijenkorf the brand will also be active. Just like in the PC you can let yourself be photographed on the cover of VOGUE. There are mannequins who are showing the latest winter fashion and with headphones through an iPad-pillar you can listen to the story behind the collection. And that all while enjoying a glass of champagne. Finally you will receive, when you spend € 150, - or more on clothing of Claudia Sträter, a special gift.

At the Roberto Botticelli store are real mannequins who will show the beautiful shoes in a very unusual way. Also there’s a DJ who will make the shopping a lot more swinging and you’ll get 10% discount on your purchase.

At De Bijenkorf, the heart of VFNO, you can meet fashion illustrator Piet Paris! He will sign his books and items from his beautiful tableware. You can find him at the 3th floor, at the Home department, from 7 PM.

The only thing you need for this evening is a September issue of the Dutch Vogue and you’re free to go celebrate fashion!

The stores at the P.C. Hoofstraat will be open till 10 PM and De Beijenkorf till 11 PM.

Fashionably night's rest at Modez

Right in the middle of the fashion headquarters of Arnhem will soon an extraordinary hotel open its doors, and I will tell you why it’s so extraordinary.

Our own Dutch fashion illustrator Piet Paris has found the concept of Modez (compiled from the words Mode, design and ArtEZ), designed this hotel and the logo which will make it a true fashion hotel. But he wasn’t the only one who participated, more than 30 other designers filled the 20 rooms of this hotel with different designs whom will let our fashion heart beat faster!

All those designers are from Arnhem or studied at ArtEZ, the design and art school of Arnhem. The brands Spijkers en Spijkers and People of the Labyrints for example, but also Bas Kosters, Piet Paris, Sjaak Hullekes and Michael van der Ham. All those designers with different styles will make every room a surprise, you’ll learn more about different aspects of fashion and they’ll give you a fashionably night’s rest.

We’ll give you a sneak peak; People of The Labyrints will let you get lost in their room because of the illuminated walls and curtains. Needlework - embroidery, knitting, lace processing - is central to the craft rooms, Petra Vonk, Coppens Alberts and Klaartje Martens show modern versions of lace. The smartphone comes in handy in Antoine Peters room, where QR codes on the wall reveal spicy pictures. Also this hotel has got the smallest fashion museum; the elevator!

So maybe you’ll have to book 20 nights..

Modez will be open for its first guests at September 15th and we can’t wait.
